Chinese Pregnancy Calendar

Introduction of Chinese pregnancy calendar

The Chinese pregnancy calendar is something every couple should have before deciding to produce a baby. This is the calendar that helps couple to produce a baby of their own kind and own gender! Isn’t it amazing? The Chinese calendar is a chart, which was buried in the tomb of royals 700 years back. The calendar is currently on display at the Beijing Institute of Science. The calendar helps couple to decide the gender of the child they are planning to bring into their world.

It is quite interesting to know about the history of the Chinese pregnancy calendar. There were millions of people, who relied on it and used it for their every child. Still, you may have the query that was this calendar used by elite class of people or it was general document that everyone could use it? The history still lies somewhere in the ancient period and we may able to veil curtains of secrets but in the present world, it is open for anyone who has faith on the ancient science and philosophy.

The calendar has two axes; the age of woman at conception and the month that the baby is to be conceived. However, there are no researches supporting this Chinese theory of getting the baby with the gender you wish, but it correctly guessed many of the genders and it is been tried by thousands of couples with good success ratio.

The Chinese pregnancy calendar rarely seems random when you are actually looking at it. If the lady was 18 when she conceived the baby, the odds of the child turning out to be a boy are 5 out of 6. Where as if the lady was twenty-one at the age of conception, the odds of having a boy are only 1 in 12. Overall, when you look carefully to the colored coded chart, it is noticed that when mother gets older, the chances of having a boy are about as similar as having a girl.

How to use Chinese pregnancy calendar

The Chinese pregnancy calendar is based on the Chinese lunar calendar that is entirely different from the Western Calendar (Gregorian calendar), which is in use presently. The lunar calendar uses its own system to record dates and all four seasons. For instance, lunar month March is on 17 April 2007, so it is not possible to get accurate prediction that basis on the Western Calendar.

Chinese lunar months from January to December are displayed on the top row of the original Chinese pregnancy calendar. The women’s age during the conception from 18-45 are listed on the left column of the Chinese pregnancy calendar.

Here are few steps to use the original Chinese pregnancy calendar –

  • Get the lady’s age the time of conception
  • Add 1 to the lady’s age
  • Put a note of the month when the baby was conceived
  • Exchange the month into the Lunar Month
  • Locate the month listed on the top of the Chinese pregnancy calendar and the age that is on the left side of the calendar
  • Finally, follow these two coordinates to the spot where they meet each other

  • Look for the corresponding gender box that is marked as  “B” for baby boy and “G” for baby girl

However, the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar maintains 95% results for baby gender prediction, it lacks of researches and scientific studies that can reveal the perfect method for baby gender selection.
